About Fellowship Journal

Welcome to Fellowship Journal 2010!

The Fellowship Journal 2010 is a great tool designed to connect us with God and each other by reading, meditating upon, and applying His word to our lives.  Over the course of 2010, together as a church body we will read portions of God’s word (the New Testament, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes), listening to what He is saying to us individually and collectively as Christ followers.  We invite you to be a part of this great journey as a church family.

How do I participate in the Fellowship Journal 2010?

  • Find a quiet moment during the day to be alone with God.  Before you begin reading, ask God to help you become present and receptive to what He wants to teach you in His word.
  • Look up the scripture for the day on the home page of myfellowshipjournal.com, look it up in your Bible, or have it automatically emailed to you.
  • Read the passage slowly.  Even repeat it once or twice if you have the time.  (Try not to read it like you would an email or the newspaper.  Instead, read it deliberately and gradually.)  What is the key verse for you in this passage?
  • As you read the passage, ask yourself what thoughts and feelings are being stirred in you.  What is God teaching you about Him…and about you?  How would you like to be different today because of what you read?
  • Consider writing down a few thoughts about the day’s reading in a personal journal.  You can also post your thoughts and read the posts of church staff and the Fellowship body on the home page of myfellowshipjournal.com.
  • Conclude your time in prayer.  Ask God for the grace to apply to your life today what you learned in the reading.
